CCPA Notice

Introduction

The California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") defines privacy and the sale of private information in a very general way. This general definition can categorise some private information usages as a "sale" of private information which in turn makes residents of California to be eligible for opt-out of this sale.

As stated in Schemon's Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, Schemon does not sell (as in for exchange of payment) private information to third parties. Schemon clearly defines used cookies and collected data in the appropriate policy documents. Schemon does use private information to improve its content and/or targeting and/or functionality to better serve its customers.

Opt-Out Methods

Schemon categorizes its cookies into 4 sections in the "Cookie Preferences" section of its website:

• Essential: Tied to functionality that can not be opted-out, mandatory
• Functional: To make sure everything is working correctly on our users end, it is optional
• For Marketing and Analysis: To understand visitor behaviour and provide a better experience to users, optional
• Advertising: To measure the effectiveness of ads on our site and personalize it to provide relevant advertisements, optional

Schemon does not include advertisements out-of-the-box. Only registered users that use the Schemon portal can opt-in for advertisements related to interests if they like.

The following opt-out methods can be used:

• Using the Cookie Preferences System: Users can opt-out of all Cookies except Essential Cookies.
• Blocking Web Browser Cookies: Using cookie management features of modern web browsers, all cookies can be blocked.
• CCPA Tool: The opt-out tool provided by CCPA located in the following link https://privacyrights.info . If your device and navigator supports it, cookies can be blocked selectively.
